Allegheny County’s holiday drive-in laser show will return to North Park for the 2021 season.

Tickets are on sale, with the first show being held on Dec. 1. The 45-minute light show is synchronized with holiday music and allows families to enjoy the show right from their own vehicle.

“Particularly during the holidays, we are always looking for fun events to do with our families and the holiday laser show fits the bill,” said Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald. “We’re thrilled to have this event return and hope that even more of our residents and neighbors will enjoy the 2021 event, again in North Park.”

The daily show Dec. 1 through Dec. 22 at the county’s North Park Swimming Pool Parking Lot on South Ridge Drive, Allison Park. Visitors can choose from three session times Sunday through Thursday (6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.), or four weekend session times on Friday and Saturday (6 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.). Each session accommodates 200 cars. The resident rate is $20 per vehicle and the non-resident rate is $25 per vehicle.

Space is limited and tickets can sell out. Attendees are urged to arrive 30-45 minutes before their time slot. When arriving, attendees will need to show the QR code provided at the time of purchase – which can be shown on a smartphone or may be printed and brought to the event. Vehicles will be directed from the entrance and will be directed to tune in 87.9 FM on their radio to hear the show. No commercial vehicles, including school buses, minibuses, limos, etc. are allowed at the event. While there will not be any concessions available on site, visitors are welcome to bring snacks to enjoy in or at their vehicle.

The 2021 laser show is sponsored by The Lindy Group and Gateway Engineers and is supported by the Allegheny County Regional Asset District.

As was the case in 2020, all proceeds benefit the Kane Foundation. Last year, nearly 7,800 vehicles enjoyed the event with an estimated 30,000 attendees. More than $70,000 was raised for the Kane Foundation.

Tickets may be purchased online at alleghenycounty.us/lasershow. All tickets must be purchased in advance through Activenet. Individuals who do not have access to the internet or are having issues with purchasing them may contact Special Events by phone at 412-350-2528 to purchase over the phone.
