North Side man sexually assaulted girl over 4 years, impregnating her at 13, police say
A Pittsburgh man is accused of sexually assaulting the daughter of a woman he knew over four years, starting when the girl was 10 and impregnating her at 13.
Todd Keith Summers, 30, of Northview Heights, was arraigned early Friday and taken to Allegheny County Jail after being denied bail, court records show.
Summers first engaged in physical contact with the girl about six years ago, according to a criminal complaint filed in the case. The girl, now 16, told police Summers had sex with her multiple times when she was 12 and 13 years old.
TribLive does not identify victims of sexual abuse.
When the victim was 13, she moved to a different town, the complaint said. Summers still visited the girl and, on at least one occasion, there was a “forced sexual assault” which led the girl to become pregnant.
She delivered the baby at age 14, the complaint said. The girl told police she was not sexually active outside of the incidents with Summers.
Pittsburgh police arrested Summers this week on 15 charges, 13 of them felonies, court records show. He is charged with two counts each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault, and one count each of unlawful contact with a minor, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 28. No attorney was listed in court records.
