The FBI is investigating a bank robbery Tuesday morning in Penn Hills.

Police were dispatched about 11:30 a.m. to Citizens Bank at 6125 Saltsburg Road for reports of a robbery.

A man was seen running from the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, Penn Hills police Chief Ronald Como told TribLive news partner WTAE.

No one has been charged.

No injuries were reported, a Citizens Bank spokeswoman said.

“The safety and security of our colleagues and customers are a top priority and thankfully no one was hurt in this incident,” spokeswoman Kathryn S. Balcerski said. “We are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation.”

The branch was open and operating as normal Wednesday.

An FBI spokesman forwarded questions Wednesday to Penn Hills police.

No one from the department responded to an email or phone calls seeking comment.
