Penn Hills School District will switch to remote learning Tuesday.

Charter and non-public school students will still receive their regular transportation, according to an announcement on the district’s website.

Superintendent Nancy Hines said the decision to have remote instruction Tuesday was made on Friday based on weather and covid mitigation efforts.

Hines said emails and other communications were sent to parents informing them of the adjustment.

Schools were closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

Regular instruction is expected to resume Wednesday.

The district provides weekly pandemic-related updates under the covid section of the “District” tab of its website, phsd.k12.pa.us.
