Part of a Penn Hills road remains closed and residents are without water as crews work to repair a broken water line Saturday.

Police Chief Jason Bonace said the break occurred around 7:45 a.m. along the 300 block of Pennoak Drive.

Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority crews responded to the area and repair work continued into the evening.

It was unclear when service would be restored and the road reopened.

Penn Hills firefighters posted photos and information about the incident on Facebook.

They said there was no damage to the interiors of neighboring homes.
