Verona Council is accepting letters of interest and resumes from residents to fill a vacant council seat after Nancy Carpenter won both a four-year and a two-year seat in the Nov. 7 election.

Carpenter elected to accept the four-year seat, leaving the two-year seat vacant.

Any applicant must be a registered voter, a resident of the borough and have lived in Verona for at least a year.

The term will end Dec. 31, 2025. Letters of interest and resumes must be submitted to the borough administration office by Jan. 17.
