54 new covid cases reported in Penn-Trafford area between April 13-19, 2021

Fifty-four new covid cases were reported in the Penn-Trafford-Jeannette area between April 13-19, according to data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Since the pandemic began, the six ZIP codes covering most of the three communities have seen a total of 1,988 confirmed cases.

As of April 19, there were 1,038 confirmed coronavirus cases, up by 24 since April 13, in the Jeannette 15644 ZIP code, which covers part of Penn Township. There have been 608 probable cases and 4,780 coronavirus tests with negative results.

In the 15085 ZIP code, which encompasses Trafford and part of North Huntingdon, the state found 496 cases as of April 19, an increase of 20 cases since April 13. There were 215 probable cases in the ZIP code and 2,013 negative test results.

In the Harrison City 15636 ZIP code, there were 250 confirmed cases as of April 19, an increase of seven cases since April 13. There were 145 probable cases and 977 negative results.

In the 15665 ZIP code for Manor, there were 101 confirmed cases, an increase of one case since April 13. There were 64 probable cases and 357 negative results.

In the Penn Borough 15675 ZIP code, there were 54 confirmed cases as of April 19, an increase of two cases since April 13. There were 35 probable cases and 238 negative results.

The Claridge 15623 ZIP code had 49 confirmed cases. There has been no increase since April 13. As of April 19, there were 19 probable cases and 243 negative test results.

A significant portion of Penn Township is grouped under the Irwin 15642 ZIP code. That ZIP code has seen a total of 3,002 confirmed cases, up by 69 since April 13.

Penn-Trafford School District reported a total of 176 covid cases since the school year began, with eight active cases as of April 19.

Westmoreland County has had a total of 21,554 confirmed cases, 9,981 probable cases, 724 deaths and 94,000 negative tests since the start of the pandemic.
