Cleanup event planned for Level Green

Volunteers are being sought to help with a cleanup effort in Level Green on May 1, in conjunction with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.

The event beginning at 9 a.m. is a collaboration among numerous organizations including the Level Green Lions, the Community Womens Club of Level Green, Level Green Fire Department and Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Level Green Community Building, 123 Murrysville Road. Cleanup assignments along specific roads will be made at that time, according to Bruno Mediate, a Level Green Lions Club spokesman.

There will be an emphasis placed on family participation. Any family wishing to clean a specific roadway can pre-register by sending an email to LevelgreenSign52@gmail.com, and including family members’ names and the requested roads.

All supplies will be provided and refreshments will be served afterward.

For more information, contact Mediate at bmediate@comcast.net.
