Pine-Richland High School

Job fair

Pine-Richland School District will host a job opportunity fair from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 27 at Pine-Richland High School in the STEAM/LGI room. Prospective applicants can learn more about working as a paraprofessional, in custodial and maintenance, in food service, as a bus driver or monitor and in substitute roles.

Salem Church

Salem Church is holding a trunk-or-treat on Oct. 29 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in its parking lot at 350 Manor Road, Wexford. All are welcome. There will be games, snacks and storytime.

The church is also hosting its annual pumpkin roll sale through Nov. 7. The pumpkin rolls are hand-made by members of the Salem community and support the church’s mission work. The original recipe rolls are $16 and gluten free rolls are $20 each. The rolls come frozen. Pick up begins on Nov. 15. Orders can be placed online at salem-umc.org or by calling 724-935-1627.

Trunk and Treat

Hampton Presbyterian Church will hold a Trunk and Treat from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 28 in the lower parking lot and adjoining field. This event is open to the community.

Trunk participants: Decorate the backs of your cars for Halloween, dress up in fun costume if you wish, load up on candy to pass out, and come to the HPC parking lot by 1:30 p.m. for our cutest goblins to “trick or treat” from car-to-car. Please RSVP by Oct. 24 via email to stephanie@hamptonpresbyrerian.net.

Kids: Dress up in costume, trick or treat, play games and get candy, while the grownups socialize. Participating kids are asked to sign by Oct. 24th online at hamptonpresbyterian.net/events.

Sealarks

Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 8 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road, McCandless. The program is “Pittsburgh Makes Merry — Guilded Age Holiday Traditions” by Sue Morris. The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone. All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group. Meeting is free for members and $2 for guests. Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat in Pine and Richland townships will be from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.
