After 24 years of service to Pine, Dave Wolford has retired from his position as public works foreman.
The board of supervisors recognized Wolford’s dedication to the township at its Oct. 6 meeting.
“Dave’s been an invaluable part of the Pine team. He’s had his hands on a lot of the great things that have happened in the township,” township Manager Jason Kratsas said.
Wolford has contributed to multiple township projects over his nearly 13-year tenure as foreman — playing an integral role in overseeing the operation and maintenance of township traffic signals, serving as an in-house electrician and ensuring the department’s fleet was fully functional.
“I just want to thank you for your dedication to the township, Dave. We’re going to miss having you here,” Kratsas said.
The board then presented Wolford with a certificate recognizing his years of service to the township.
Pine has hired an additional general laborer to help out with public works duties following Wolford’s retirement.
The township still retains three foremen to tackle the townships’ roads, parks and facilities — Jesse Doscher, Daniel Nock and Steve Strafalace, respectively.
