The Pine-Richland High School Forensics Speech and Debate team earned the Small School Sweepstakes Award March 15-16, 2024, at the Pennsylvania High School Speech League State Championship at Bloomsburg University.

The Pine-Richland High School Forensics Speech and Debate team earned the Small School Sweepstakes Award in addition to several individual awards March 15-16 at the annual Pennsylvania High School Speech League State Championship at Bloomsburg University.

The club competed in events including Extemporaneous Debate, Extemporaneous Speech, News Broadcasting, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Public Forum and Policy Debate.

Congratulations to:

• Senior Mantavya Vashishth, first place, Extemporaneous Debate.

• Senior Udi Akolkar, fifth place, Lincoln Douglas.

• Seniors Avyu Nagrath and Henry Wojcik, fifth place, Public Forum.

• Junior Thomas DeVito and sophomore Jiwon Lee, seventh place, Public Forum.

• Senior Eunice Son, eighth place, Extemporaneous Speech.

• Juniors Erin Murray and Nedda Immen, ninth place, Policy.

• Sophomore Kara Wang and ninth-grader Bianka Roman, 11th place, News Broadcasting.
