Pine Township held its annual Community Day on July 16. The weather, which included sun, clouds and at times rain, did not damper the spirits of the many residents who came to Pine Community Park to take part in the festivities.

Food vendors were on hand and live music by Casanova the Divas kept everyone entertained, as did bounce houses and lots of children’s activities.

“It was such a great day for the event, with the sun popping out for the first time in the day 15 minutes before our opening ceremony,” said township manager Jason Kratsas.

Wexford Volunteer Fire Company put on a demonstration and the Northern Regional Police Department brought the talking car, P.C. the Patrol Car, which was a huge hit for all ages.

“The event was fun for all residents,” said Audrey Mackie, one of the township supervisors. “It was such a blessing for our residents to have a fun event and experience for fellowship. I enjoyed watching my kids playing in the bounce house Midway, while also being able to have dinner with family and friends as we were getting ready to watch the fireworks.”

“Community Day is always such a great opportunity for our supervisors and staff to talk with Pine residents in a casual setting,” said Kratsas.

“I am grateful to our Parks Department for planning, organizing and setting up the event while having the park so beautiful,” said Mackie.

The night came to a perfect end with a spectacular fireworks show by Pyrotecnico.
