McKeesport police say two 14-year-old girls kept a notebook of properties they wanted to burn down, and the list included four houses where fires have been set in recent months.
According to the Trib’s news partner WPXI, the two teens have been charged with four counts each of arson and risking a catastrophe.
Because of their age, police did not identify the girls, but told WPXI that they had set the fires, which took place:
• March 9, on Cleveland Street;
• March 27, on Patterson Street;
• Wednesday, on Collins Street;
• Thursday, on Easler Street.
Police identified them from surveillance video showing two teenage girls in the area both prior to and immediately following the Easler Street fire.
Officers identified the teens and “quickly located” them, police said.
