Allegheny County Health officials reported 215 new covid-19 cases Saturday and one new death.
The death total now stands at 198.
The latest numbers reflect 1,953 tests spanning from July 1 to July 10 — an 11% infection rate of those who were tested.
Allegheny County now has seen 4,762 cases of covid-19 since the first ones were reported March 14 — eight days after it was first reported in Pennsylvania.
The county also reported six new hospitalizations.
In all, 456 patients who tested positive for the virus have had to be hospitalized, representing nearly 9.5% of the county’s cases.
It is the twelfth straight day of new case counts in the triple digits since the county reported 109 cases on June 30.

To put that in perspective, during this 12-day period, Allegheny County has amassed 2,111 positive cases, or 44% of all recorded cases in the county.
People who make up the latest round of new cases range in age from 1 month to 86 years old, according to county data.
The median age is 33.
