A 28-year-old man was killed when his sedan collided with a utility truck Wednesday in Pitcairn.

According to Allegheny County Police, who are helping to investigate the crash, the man was driving in the 300 block of Broadway Avenue at about 5:45 p.m. when his Mazda 6 crossed the center line and collided with a Peoples Gas truck headed in the opposite direction.

The man, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries, police said.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477.
