An unidentified Pittsburgh man told police he got in his car and chased four home invaders to Monroeville before they got away, according to the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety.

The man said four unknown men kicked down the door of his Beechwood Boulevard home in Squirrel Hill and robbed him at gunpoint around 10:20 p.m. Friday, according to police.

He fired a shot at the robbers, but does not know if he hit anyone, police said.

When the suspects got in their vehicle and fled, the man follows in his own vehicle, ending his chase in Monroeville, more than 5 miles from his home.

Police are investigating.
