Allegheny County police investigating double shooting in Clairton
Two people, including a teenage girl, were shot in Clairton late Monday night, according to Allegheny County Police.
Emergency responders dispatched to the area of Wylie and Henry avenues shortly before 11:30 p.m. found a 16-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to the ankle and a 25-year-old man who was shot in the thigh, according to police.
Both victims were conscious and alert when they were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Their identities have not been released.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the county’s police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (833-255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
