They won’t have the graduation they dreamed of, but some Duquesne University graduates descended on campus Thursday for an impromptu picture-taking day.
They wore caps and gowns and stood on the picturesque walkway that crosses the Uptown campus.
Duquesne is hosting a virtual ceremony Friday.
“The class of 2020 has worked hard and, despite the challenges of recent months, persevered to achieve this milestone in their educational journeys,” said Ken Gormley, Duquesne’s president.
The virtual ceremony will be streamed at 2 p.m. at www.duq.edu/2020virtualceremony. Gormley will deliver the commencement address and confer the degrees.
An in-person graduation is planned later but a date has not been set, officials said.
