FBI asks for help to ID man who robbed Downtown Pittsburgh bank
Authorities are asking for help to identify the man who robbed a bank in Pittsburgh’s Downtown last month.
The FBI and Pittsburgh police released a surveillance photo of the man Thursday. He is believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s and about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a tan baseball cap, sunglasses, a tan dress suit and a chrome phone earpiece when he robbed the Dollar Bank on Smithfield Street at about 2 p.m. June 26.
A teller at the bank told police the man approached her with a written note demanding cash. She handed over the cash, and he left the bank onto Smithfield Street.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery should contact the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office at 412-432-4000. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
