The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will hold another drive-up food distribution Monday afternoon at its facility in Duquesne.
The distribution will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at 1 N. Linden St. The entrance is at the intersection of South Linden Street and South Duquesne Boulevard.
Each vehicle will receive two boxes of food. The food bank will be able to serve up to 1,000 vehicles at this distribution.
No registration is needed to receive food.
• People planning to pick up food are asked to arrive no earlier than 11 a.m. and follow safety guidelines.
• Those in line should remain in their vehicle at all times, except when using outdoor restroom facilities.
• After pulling into distribution row, people must put their vehicles in park and unlock the trunk or back door for food to be loaded by volunteers.
Those who need help with food but do not have access to a vehicle should visit the food bank’s website for information about receiving assistance, including a map of food pantries, meals for children and help with food stamps applications.
The food bank also will be distributing food on Tuesday at the Big Butler Fairgrounds.
