The Waterfront in Homestead is saluting seniors.

Photos of 2020 graduates – high school and college – are being displayed on the video board located at the main entrance to the shopping center near the AMC Theatre.

The project launched Friday to help recognize individuals who aren’t going to have traditional ceremonies to highlight their educational achievements.

Photos of graduating seniors can be submitted by email to ewittmer@wilkow.com and will run for seven days. New photos will be added each week.

So far, over 200 photos have been submitted from more than 50 schools. Some high schools include Steel Valley, West Mifflin, Taylor Allderdice, Baldwin, McKeesport, Gateway, Penn Hills, Pittsburgh CAPA, Elizabeth Forward, South Allegheny, Woodland Hills, and Oakland Catholic. Submissions came from colleges such as the University of Pittsburgh, California (Pa.) University, Carlow University and Duquesne University.

Pictures will be accepted through May 31.

“With schools closed and graduation ceremonies being postponed, The Waterfront wanted to spread positivity and celebrate our 2020 graduates on the big screen,” said Emily Wittmer, marketing director. “We are honoring their accomplishments. This is a fun, alternative way we can all celebrate their success while social distancing. “
