The streets were lined with onlookers Saturday for the 100th anniversary of the Pittsburgh Veterans Day Parade on Liberty Avenue.

Dr. David Blinky, a member of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, puffed a cigar as he sat behind the wheel of a WWII-era Jeep prior to the start of the parade. Included in their fleet of vehicles was a 1942 Stewart Tank that saw time in WWII in Tunisia.

Air Force 1st Lt. Pat Nicholson, who serves as Commander of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, said the event is something they look forward to every year.

Elected officials, high school marching bands and various organizations benefiting veterans were also among the participants in the parade.
