Kool & The Gang returns June 20 to Rivers Casino Pittsburgh on the North Side.

There will be another celebration at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.

Rhythm and blues icons Kool & The Gang return June 20 to the casino’s event center on the North Shore.

Known for 1970s and ’80s classics like “Celebration,” “Get Down on It,” “Joanna,” “Cherish” and “Jungle Boogie,” the band opened the event center as the first performance in March 2019.

The group has won two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, and the BET Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award, according to a news release.

“Kool & The Gang’s 2019 show was absolutely incredible,” said Shannon Redmond, vice president of marketing at Rivers Casino in a statement. “We can’t wait to welcome them back for the second time in June. It’ll be another awesome show.”
