Several people involved in a crash inside the outbound Liberty Tunnel were injured Saturday, but no one was seriously hurt, Pittsburgh police said.

Around 1:55 p.m., a vehicle tried to change lanes inside the tunnel and clipped another. That made the driver swerve, hitting a second vehicle and causing it to roll, police said.

Three people in the vehicle that rolled were taken to UPMC Mercy hospital with minor injuries. A dog in that vehicle was not injured, police said.

Those inside the vehicle clipped first were not injured, police said.

Police said the driver of the car that caused the crash was also not injured, but the passenger suffered a broken nose.

The crash caused the tunnel to close for a time as crews responded to the scene.

Police said it has since reopened and they continue to investigate the crash.
