Allegheny County Police were dispatched to an apartment in Carnegie on Sunday, May 12, 2019, after a woman ran to a neighbor’s home seeking help.

Officials on Sunday identified a Carnegie man killed in a double stabbing earlier that day.

Luke Connolly, 51, was pronounced dead just before 8 a.m. in an apartment on Third Avenue, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

County police said he’d been stabbed multiple times in the chest.

A 31-year-old woman who was in the apartment was also stabbed in the incident, which happened about 7:30 a.m., according to county police. She ran from the apartment building and sought help at a neighbor’s home on Fifth Street.

Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities did not release her identity.

Investigators said they have no motive and no suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous. The department can also be reached via its social media sites.
