McKeesport man shot while driving in Penn Hills dies

A McKeesport man shot in the leg Friday night while driving along Bon Air Road in Penn Hills has died.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Chasae Swindle, 42.
Penn Hills Police responded around 11 p.m. Friday night to the 100 block of Evaline Street for a report of a man having been shot, according to an Allegheny County news release.
County homicide detectives said the man was driving on Bon Air near Frankstown Road in a red Chevrolet Malibu when he was shot in the upper left leg.
Investigators said the man appeared to have lost control of the car after being shot, damaging an abandoned Frankstown Road property, continued through a wooded area and crashed at an Evaline Street property.
Detectives are investigating.
