A man wanted in North Carolina for allegedly helping his brother commit a Sept. 30 homicide was arrested Wednesday night in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood by Allegheny County sheriff’s deputies.
Caverce Rahmir Williams, 24, was taken into custody at about 7:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Evanston Street, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities from the FBI in Pittsburgh and Charlotte, N.C., notified the sheriff’s fugitive squad that Williams may be in the area. He answered their knock on the door of the house in Sheraden, according to a news release.
A woman and 2-year-old child who were living at the house weren’t identified by name and the woman wasn’t charged, according to the release.
Williams is accused of being an accomplice in the Sept. 30 killing of Donald Watlington, 27, in Burlington, N.C.
Williams’ brother, Miktu Rogier Williams, was arrested Nov. 1 in Alexandria, Va., on murder charges.
Both Williams brothers are awaiting extradition to North Carolina. Caverce Rahmir Williams is in the Allegheny County Jail.
