Allegheny County police on Wednesday arrested a 62-year-old McCandless man who is accused of exposing himself to women at the North Park Swimming Pool.

Christopher Steffy turned himself in on charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness, police said. He was arraigned and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

Police started investigating June 27, when two women reported a man had exposed himself at the pool, but they didn’t contact police until after the man left that day. On Monday, pool staffers familiar with the man notified police when he returned.

Police responded and questioned Steffy and after further investigation, they obtained a warrant for his arrest on the charges, which were filed Tuesday.

Steffy did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment. He told Tribune-Review news partner WPXI that the incident in question was the result of a wardrobe malfunction.

Police are seeking more information about the incidents and are asking people to call Allegheny County Police tip line at 1-833-255-8477.
