The long-running TV show “Cops” will use footage filmed last summer in Pittsburgh in upcoming episodes, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz.

Promotion for the Pittsburgh-based episodes started Tuesday on Twitter, when the show tweeted, “Pittsburgh we have arrived.”

The tweet was promoting the episode that will air at 10 p.m. Monday on the Paramount network. The network airs new episodes of the show, which is in its 32nd season.

Footage for that episode and four others will air at times to be determined in March, June and July, according to Cruz.

A “Cops” crew spent two months in the city over the summer, working with police and its narcotics and vice units.

This is the third time Pittsburgh has been featured on the show. Episodes filmed in the city aired in the 1990s and the mid-2000s, according to Cruz.
