No one was injured after police and fire officials blocked off a portion of Greensburg Pike in Wilkins Township while responding to a house fire there Tuesday morning.

The road was closed between Lenox and Perry avenues as crews worked to put out the fire located on the 4200 block of Greensburg Pike.

Several crews, including from volunteer fire departments in Forest Hills, Chalfant and Wilkins responded to the fire.

An alert that was issued around 10 a.m. said the house had heavy smoke coming from within.

A woman who said she owned the house declined to comment.

Fire officials also declined to comment.
