Police are investigating a possible attempt to abduct a child outside John Morrow Elementary School in Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Officers responded to a call about the incident at Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Morrow K-8 campus on Davis Avenue in the city’s Brighton Heights neighborhood shortly after 4 p.m., Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.

A 10-year-old boy told police that he was leaving school when an “older male” got out of a dark car and “ran at him,” Cruz said.

“The boy told police that he hit the man and ran back into the school, where police were called,” Cruz said.

No arrests have been made.

Police did not cite any possible suspects.
