The timing was perfect: A Pittsburgh bus falls into a sinkhole in totally dramatic fashion just days before tons of people in Western Pennsylvania need to come up with a cool costume for parties.
We knew what would happen next.
And it did.
If you went dressed as the Pittsburgh sinkhole bus this Halloween, you weren’t alone.
Some pulled it off spectacularly.

The crew at Robert Morris University’s Financial Aid Office decided to make it a group effort.

Of course, even the Pittsburgh sinkhole bus isn’t immune to needing a “sexy” version.

And, hey, some folks just didn’t have a lot of time. But did that stop them from bus-ing it up? Nope.
To paraphrase Pittsburgh’s beloved Li-Young Lee:

O, to take what we love inside,
to carry within us a bus line, to eat
not only the bus but the asphalt.
