A New Castle man and an Ingram woman were charged Wednesday with allegedly beating and raping two young children more than 10 years ago in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood.

Seth Price, 36, of New Castle, and Trista Price, 36, of Ingram, are facing a host of charges in the case.

Both were in custody Wednesday afternoon, Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said.

The Prices allegedly abused a girl who was between 4 and 6 years old and a boy who was between 5 and 7 years old, according to criminal complaints filed in the case.

The girl told investigators Seth Price threw her onto a refrigerator, and that both Seth and Trista Price repeatedly choked her, bound her, raped her and forced her to perform sexual acts, according to the complaints.

Seth Price also is accused of hitting her with a Jeep and leaving a scar on her forehead. Seth Price also threatened to skin the girl alive, she told investigators, according to the complaints.

The boy was also fondled, forced to perform sexual acts and beaten, according to the complaints. The children were beaten with a flyswatter, frying pan and a two-by-four that had a nail in it, they told authorities.

The charges filed against Seth Price include rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual exploitation of children, endangering the welfare of children, aggravated assault, simple assault, sexual assault, indecent assault, false imprisonment and conspiracy.

The charges against Trista Price include rape, sexual abuse of children, endangering the welfare of children, sexual exploitation of children, aggravated assault, simple assault, sexual assault, indecent assault and conspiracy.

Neither had attorneys listed in online court dockets and bail hadn’t been set on either Seth or Trista Price.
