A Fox Chapel man accused of killing a Baldwin man in February now faces charges in connection with the death of a Verona man whose remains were found near the suspect’s home in March.

Adam Rosenberg, 21, was charged Tuesday with criminal homicide, robbery, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and firearms violations. He is being held in Allegheny County Jail without bail.

Police said the mother of Christian Moore-Rouse, 21, of Verona, reported her son missing on Christmas, four days after she said she last saw him alive.

Moore-Rouse’s body was found in a wooded lot near Rosenberg’s home on March 3. The Medical Examiner’s Office said he died from a single gunshot wound to the head and ruled his death a homicide on March 11, the same day Moore-Rouse’s family held a memorial service for him in Wilkinsburg.

Police have said Rosenberg and Moore-Rouse were acquaintances, but the extent of their relationship is unclear.

Police did not say why it took more than two months to charge Rosenberg in connection with Moore-Rouse’s homicide after finding his body.

“There was evidence of a shooting found at the scene, and the victim was quickly identified as Christian Moore-Rouse,” police said in Tuesday’s prepared statement.

Rosenberg also faces charges in connection to the Feb. 15 homicide of Jeremy Dentel, 28, whose body was found inside his Baldwin home. Rosenberg was charged with Dentel’s death on Feb. 19.

Detectives found Moore-Rouse’s body in the wooded lot just two weeks after charging Rosenberg in Dentel’s death.

County police were not immediately available to comment.

Casey White, one of Rosenberg’s attorneys, said in a prepared statement that the defense team was “in the process of gathering information to have a better understanding of the (latest) allegations.”

“Once all of the facts are known to the defense team, we will proceed accordingly,” he said.
