Two people are accused of robbing a man and stealing his car early Tuesday on the city’s South Side.
Pittsburgh police responded to a robbery at the intersection of East Carson and South 20th streets at about 4:15 a.m., public safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said.
The man told officers that he was robbed by two men after parking his car. He said one of the suspects appeared to have a gun under his shirt. It was unclear if the suspects took money or personal items from the man.
They fled the scene in his car. Police were able to locate it shortly after in the Knoxville area, Matthews said, and the suspects crashed into a retaining wall and ran.
Officers apprehended a juvenile suspect, who was treated at Children’s Hospital for minor injuries and taken into custody.
The search continues for the second suspect.
