Body found in McKees Rocks refrigerator identified

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified a woman who was found dead inside a refrigerator in a McKees Rocks home Monday morning

Police found the body of Kristy Jefferson, 38, of McKees Rocks inside a refrigerator that was sitting in a second floor hallway of a building in the 100 block of Helen Street, according to Trib news partner WPXI-TV

Neighbors noticed a smell, found the woman in the refrigerator and called police, WPXI reported. The body was found around 9:45 a.m.

Officials have not publicized the cause of death.

County homicide detectives are investigating and they’re asking anyone with information to call 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
