A 58-year-old man who Allegheny County Police said was severely beaten in South Fayette has died.

The victim was identified as Jeffery Harouse of Bridgeville, according to the county Medical Examiner’s office.

He died Monday at UPMC Presbyterian after being assaulted the day before, according to police.

South Fayette police and paramedics were called to the 300 block of Ridge Point Circle just before 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Medical personnel told police that Harouse had a skull fracture. Police are trying to determine how he received the head injuries.

Harouse had left a local bar and used a ride-sharing company to get home before the incident.

Police said video surveillance showed the man getting out of the ride-share vehicle and the vehicle driving away. The man is seen walking toward his apartment building out of camera view.

Anyone with information concerning the incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477).
