Police are investigating a hit-and-run rollover crash in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood that injured two people and sent one person to the hospital Sunday morning, officials said.

Police and medics responded to a report of an overturned vehicle near Penn Avenue and Beatty Street around 10:15 a.m., Department of Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri said.

First responders arrived to find two people inside the flipped vehicle. Both had “minor to moderate injuries,” and one was taken by medics to a nearby hospital, Togneri said. Both were in stable condition.

The initial investigation shows that the driver of another vehicle “pulled out of a parking spot and struck the victim’s vehicle, causing it to overturn,” Togneri said.

Police believe that the driver of the second vehicle took off on foot.

Police did not provide any further information about the suspect.
