Allegheny County police said they are seeking the public’s help as they investigate the July 13 shooting death of Delquay James.

Police and EMS responding to a 911 call just before 8 p.m. found James, 21, dead of multiple gunshot wounds near a vacant home at 2001 Beacon St. in McKeesport.

Witnesses saw a group of men walking toward Hazel Street just before the shooting, according to police.

Witnesses heard several gunshots, then saw a dark-colored sedan speeding away from the area.

Investigators found several shell casings from different caliber handguns at the scene.

James was from Pittsburgh’s North Side neighborhood and had been visiting a friend in McKeesport, police said.

Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-255-8477.
