The U.S. Postal Service is hiring temporary workers in the Pittsburgh area for jobs that pay $17.95 per hour.

The deadline to apply is Saturday, the postal service said in a news release.

The available positions are mail processing assistants at the USPS Pennwood Place processing center in Warrendale and the Pittsburgh General Mail Facility on the North Side.

The application process is online only. Click here, then click on “search jobs,” select “Pennsylvania” and look for the positions.

The site describes the requirements to do the job. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam.
