The ramp connecting southbound Route 28 to the I-579 Veterans Bridge will close to receive concrete deck repairs, according to PennDOT.
The closure will take place from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday.
All traffic will be detoured, said Steve Cowan, PennDOT spokesperson. Motorists traveling to the Boulevard of the Allies should take the ramp to Fort Pitt Bridge/Airport, taking I-279 to 376 and exiting to Forbes Avenue, where they turn onto Craft Avenue and reach the Boulevard of the Allies.
To get to the Liberty Bridge, PennDOT said drivers can also take I-279 and I-376 until reaching Grant Street. From Grant street, drivers can turn onto the Boulevard of the Allies and take Route 19 to Liberty Bridge.
