About a half-mile of Washington Pike in Collier Township has been closed due to a transformer fire , Allegheny County officials tweeted on Sunday.

At about 7 p.m., the road was closed between Collier Town Square and the Woltz and Wind Ford Dealership.

The fire caused the Woodville Duquesne Light Substation to lose power, officials said.

Additional information was not available.
