A long-standing sports complex in the North Hills has closed, according to an announcement published on its website and Facebook page.

Wildwood Highlands Entertainment Complex, after more than 30 years of “Great Food. Fast Karts. Wild Times,” shuttered its doors Dec. 9.

“We did not make this decision lightly and understand the impact this may have on our valued staff and loyal customers,” read a message on its website.

The company was not immediately available for comment.

Wildwood offered mini-golf, go-karting and various other outdoor and indoor games at its 38-acre Hampton site.

The announcement said Wildwood’s sports dome will remain open as “North Park Sports Complex” under new leadership.

According to county real estate records, Wildwood was purchased for $1.4 million in May 2018. The LLC is registered to Penn Cove Group Capital, a Pittsburgh-based real estate investment firm.

PCG Capital was not immediately available to comment.

“North Park Sports Complex will continue to offer the indoor arena and expansive outdoor field and creek as a resource to local schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, families and individuals seeking a place to come together for sports, entertainment, education and community gatherings,” the announcement read.

NPSC offers flag-football and soccer leagues, according to its website.

The organization will also host leagues and camps for children and adults, said the announcement.

“We hope that although Wildwood has closed its final chapter that the memories will live on fondly for all who visited,” the announcement read.

The entertainment complex’s announcement comes 16 days before Christmas.

For refunds or credits on gift cards or event tickets to Wildwood, customers were told to contact Ryan Mulligan at ryan@wildwoodsportscomplex.com or call 412-487-5517.

“You may be offered a complete refund or a credit to be used for purchases at North Park Sports Complex. Please call to learn more. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” read the announcement.
