Woman injured in hit-and-run crash in South Side

A woman was injured in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood on Sunday after she was hit by a car that fled the scene.

According to Pittsburgh police, officers responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Carson and South 18th streets around 12:30 p.m.

The woman suffered a leg injury and was transported to Mercy Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Witnesses described the vehicle that fled as a black Dodge Charger.

Police are investigating.
