Courtney Brennan is leaving WPXI-TV to pursue other opportunities, she told her fans on Facebook this week.

“My friends! This is my last week as a reporter at Channel 11,” Brennan wrote on her page “Oh, how I have LOVED these last 9 years and all of YOU for coming on this journey with me!”

Brennan’s leaving to pursue other television and social media opportunities, she said.

She joined the station in 2010, serving as WPXI’s Westmoreland County bureau chief for three years before moving into Pittsburgh and working as a nightside reporter in the city.

Brennan thanked people for the support she received on social media and in a post on her blog.

“I want to thank ALL OF YOU for the sweet messages and kind words and GOOD MOJO that you sent my way this week,” she wrote.

Brennan’s last day at the station was Friday and her son, Henry, surprised her with flowers and a visit to the WPXI newsroom.

Marlisa Goldsmith announced she was leaving WPXI for an Arkansas news station earlier this year.
