A Pittsburgh man has been accused of the fatal shooting of a man on Pittsburgh’s North Side on Sunday, city police said Wednesday.
The suspect, Joshua James Short, 21, is accused of shooting Joseph Sees, 29, in Manchester, around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Officers found the victim inside a vehicle along Stedman Street at Fontella Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and left shoulder. Police rendered aid until medics arrived and transported him to the hospital, where he died a short time later, police said.
Short was arraigned on charges of criminal homicide, burglary, aggravated assault, and a violation of the Uniform Firearms Act in connection with a recent crime that preceded the homicide. Police also charged Short with theft by unlawful taking for a vehicle theft that occurred in the early Wednesday morning.
Short was placed in the Allegheny County Jail, pending a preliminary hearing on Nov. 3.
