A federal judge has found a Pittsburgh man guilty of dealing fentanyl that contributed to an overdose death in early 2017, federal prosecutors said.
Deon Blair, 28, also was convicted of additional drug and gun crimes at the conclusion of a bench trial before U.S. District Judge David S. Cercone.
Blair faces a minimum sentence of life in prison, per federal sentencing guidelines regarding overdose death convictions, U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman said.
The distribution of drugs, including fentanyl and a fentanyl analog, happened between January and February 2017, prosecutors said.
Judge Cercone scheduled Blair’s sentencing hearing for Dec. 2.
