Pittsburgh police are investigating a fatal shooting Wednesday morning in Marshall-Shadeland.

Police and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the 2400 block of Sorrell Street just before 5:30 a.m., according to an Allegheny County 911 supervisor.

First responders found a man with a gunshot wound to the head, a Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by medics, authorities said.

Police did not release the identity of the victim.
