DUI, drug cases among those handled by Judge Zucco in Plum on July 21 and 28, 2021

District Judge Linda Zucco recently handled the following cases. Charges were filed by Plum police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• James Pitts, 56, of LaBelle on charges of providing false identification to law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. Charges were filed March 11.

• John Kowalewski Jr., 30, of Saltsburg on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and two counts of possession of controlled substances. Charges were filed May 6.

• Nicholas Jack, 26, of New Kensington on charges of driving under the influence, disregard traffic lane, driving at unsafe speed and careless driving. Charges were filed April 28.

Waived preliminary hearings

• Jack Marzec, 45, of Plum on charges of possession of controlled substances and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. North Versailles police filed the charges Feb. 17.

Marzec went before the judge on a separate case. He waived a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of controlled substances and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. North Versailles police filed the charges Feb. 16.

Marzec went before the judge for another case. He waived a preliminary hearing on charges of making repairs/selling offensive weapons, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief. Charges were filed Oct. 2.

Marzec went before the judge on another case. He waived a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of controlled substances and two counts of possession with intent to deliver. North Versailles police filed the charges Oct. 1.

• Matthew Caldwell, 36, of New Kensington on charges of driving under the influence and accident to unattended vehicle or property. Charges were filed April 19.

• Shawn Anderson, 52, of New Kensington on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and failure to keep right. Charges were filed Jan. 15.

• Solomon Spencer, 42, of New Kensington on charges of accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property, driving under the influence, driving without a license and driving with a suspended license. Oakmont police filed the charges March 13.

• Joshua Joyner, 39, of Monroeville on charges of endangering the welfare of children, issuing statement under penalty, misrepresentation of a member of military or veteran, driving under the influence, careless driving and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed March 24.

• Anthony Hopperstead, 32, of Plum on charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving. Charges were filed April 26.
