District Judge Linda Zucco recently handled the following cases. Charges were filed by Plum police unless otherwise noted.

Waived preliminary hearings

• Stephen Kavanshansky, 20, of Swissvale on charges of driving under the influence, failure to keep right, careless driving and minor prohibited from operating a vehicle with alcohol. Oakmont police filed the charges April 17.

• Vincent Tavella, 33, of Plum on charges of hindering prosecution, aiding consummation of a crime, fleeing or attempting to elude officer, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without a licence, driving with a suspended license and no headlights. Charges were filed July 3.

• Thomas Barnes, 58, of New Kensington on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving. Charges were filed May 5.

• Jason Brown, 48, of Plum on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, stand unattended, reckless driving and failure to stop and give information or render aid. Charges were filed May 6.

• Tyrik Palmer, 25, of Pittsburgh on charges of possession of controlled substances and driving under the influence. Charges were filed May 28.

• Justin Dunnivan, 30, of Plum on two counts of possession of controlled substances and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges May 3.

• Joshua Sandusky, 23, of Cheswick on charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and endangering the welfare of children. Charges were filed April 30.

• John Tomlanovich, 49, of Plum on charges of driving under the influence and driving at unsafe speed. Charges were filed April 17.
